Word Junkie

About Me

Hi, I'm Barbie, and I'll admit it: I'm a total Wordle junkie. That little grid of green, yellow and gray is part of my day, every day. I got hooked by playing it every day with my students and my family.

Word Junkie is my small, independent corner of the internet for fellow word nerds who love the puzzle but sometimes need a tiny nudge to keep a streak alive.

Why I built this

We've all been there: four guesses down, two to go, and every word you can think of is already gray. I wanted a place where I could get a gentle push without someone blurting out the answer, and I figured other people wanted the same thing. So I built it.

It quickly became something we talked about and looked forward to each morning. We'd trade hints, cheer each other on, and race to be the first one to solve it before our day got started. Sharing those little nudges, without ever giving the word away, is exactly what this site is all about.

How I give hints without spoiling

For me, the best part of Wordle is the moment it finally clicks, and I never want to take that away from you. So everything on the hint page stays hidden until you tap it, and the hints go from gentle to strong:

Open one, take another guess, and only come back if you need more. The full answer sits behind its own button for the days when you just want to know. No judgment; we all have those days.

A new set of hints goes up every night at midnight US Eastern time, and the archive keeps the last couple of months in case you're catching up.

A little Wordle confession

My go-to starting word is STAIR, since it tests some of the most common letters right out of the gate. If you have a favorite opener of your own, I'd honestly love to hear it.

Say hello

Spotted a hint that didn't make sense, have an idea, or just want to share your score? Drop me a note on the contact page. I read everything (just please don't put the day's answer in the subject line!).

If my hints have saved your streak once or twice, a coffee keeps this little site going.

☕ Keep the hints coming — buy me a coffee

Happy guessing, and may your next one be green in three.
